DAYDREAMER

When I was young,
And all about three
And people used to say
"What are you going to be be?"

Well I'd have the answer
It wasn't to hard
You see, I was going to be a cowboy
Right from the start.

But it's not so easy,
When you're born in the East
And all you have is daydreams

And you've got no place
Nor nobody to teach you the ropes
So all you live on is daydreams and hopes.

So took a chance……

And packed my bags
And moved out west
With a truck full of dreams
Hoping to do my best.

And packed my bags
And moved out west
With a truck full of dreams
Hoping to do my best.

And I got lucky……

‘Cause I met some people
That gave me a chance
To fulfill my daydreams
And work on a ranch.

And to prove to myself
That I'm at home in the saddle
And there aren't any ranch jobs
That I couldn't handle.

Now when ever I travel
And when ever I roam
And whenever from the back
Of a bronc I get thrown.

I always remember they were gracious and kind
And I try to pass that along
To all the Daydreamers I find.
